For companies operating in HVACR, product development is increasingly connected with questions of efficiency, reliability and manufacturability. Components need to meet the functional requirements of the final equipment while also being suitable for stable, repeatable and scalable production.
Dradura develops and manufactures precision steel wire components for HVACR applications, including fan guards, motor covers, protective wire grilles, wire frames and custom welded wire assemblies. These components can protect rotating parts, improve equipment safety, provide structural support or integrate with other elements of the final assembly.
We work from customer drawings and specifications, while also providing engineering support where design optimization can improve manufacturability, simplify production or reduce overall cost. Our capabilities include CNC wire forming, welding and automated production processes for different geometries, component sizes and production volumes. Material selection can be adapted to the application, with carbon steel, stainless steel and galvanized steel available, together with different coating and painting options for specific operating environments.
A component that performs well in a prototype is not necessarily optimized for high-volume production. The transition from product development to serial production raises practical questions:
- Can the geometry be manufactured consistently?
- Can tolerances be maintained at larger production volumes?
- Is material being used efficiently?
- Can forming and welding processes be automated?
- Is the surface treatment appropriate for the operating environment?
- Can the component be supplied reliably throughout the production program?
These considerations are integrated into Dradura’s engineering and manufacturing approach. The company supports customers from design validation and prototyping through automated serial production, combining engineering expertise with automated manufacturing and an established European production footprint. Design optimization can improve manufacturability, material efficiency and production cost while maintaining the required function and specifications.
For wire components, manufacturing performance is closely linked to the design itself. Geometry, forming sequence, welding points, material choice and surface treatment all influence the production process. Dradura therefore looks beyond simply manufacturing a component according to a drawing. Where beneficial, its engineering teams work with customers to adapt designs for efficient and consistent serial production.
The objective is not only to produce a technically correct component, but to develop a solution that can be manufactured reliably, repeatedly and economically at the required volume.
Surface treatment as part of the solution
HVACR equipment can operate continuously and in demanding environmental conditions. Material selection and surface protection can therefore play an important role in component development. Dradura offers different surface treatment solutions, including galvanized and powder-coated finishes as well as customized coating systems, depending on requirements such as durability, corrosion protection and operating conditions. By combining wire forming, welding and surface treatment capabilities, Dradura can manage a broader part of the manufacturing process within one supply chain.
One manufacturing partner – from engineering to logistics
For HVACR manufacturers, supplier reliability extends beyond component quality. Stable production capacity, predictable deliveries and supply chain security become increasingly important as components enter long-term production. Dradura’s integrated approach covers engineering and tooling, production, coating, packaging and logistics, supported by its European production footprint. This enables customers to work with one manufacturing partner across a broader part of the component lifecycle – from concept and prototype through serial production and regular deliveries.
HVACR industry at Chillventa
Chillventa 2026 will bring together the international refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump community in Nuremberg, covering areas including refrigeration technology, AC and ventilation, heat pumps, instrumentation, automation and related technologies.
For Dradura, participation in Chillventa is an opportunity to meet manufacturers, engineers and purchasing professionals and discuss specific technical challenges related to wire components. Whether the requirement is a fan guard for an axial or centrifugal fan, a protective grille, a wire frame, a welded assembly or a customized wire component, the starting point is always the application and the requirements of the final equipment.
The question is not only: “Can this component be manufactured?” It is also: “Can it be designed and manufactured in a way that makes sense for reliable, repeatable and scalable production?”
This is where Dradura aims to contribute – combining wire manufacturing expertise, engineering support and automated production to develop practical solutions for HVACR manufacturers.
We look forward to meeting industry professionals at Chillventa 2026 and discussing new applications, existing components, and opportunities for design and manufacturing optimization.
